Project Leader, BA in Economics (1977), MSc in Transport Economics (University of Leeds, 1985) and PhD in Economics (University of Leeds, 1989). Director of the Master in Transport Economics at University Carlos III of Madrid. He has worked for the European Commission, the European Investment Bank, the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Spanish Competition Authority and the Ministry of Economy. At present, he is Professor of Applied Economics at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain). He also collaborates with the University Carlos III of Madrid where he teaches Cost-Benefit Analysis.

 
Ofelia Betancor
 
BA in Economics and Business (University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1989), MSc in Economics (Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London, 1993) and PhD in Economics (University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1998). She has participated in several research projects, most of them for the European Commission. She is now an Associate Professor in Economics at the Department of Applied Economics at the University of Las Palmas and is responsible of research on Transport Economics at FEDEA (Fundación de Estudios de Economía Aplicada) in Madrid.


 
Javier Campos
 
BA in Economics and Business (University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1989), MSc in Economics (London School of Economics, 1993). He has worked as a consultant for the World Bank in transport regulation projects and has also undertaken similar works for the European Commission and the Ministry of Public Works. Since 2001 he is Associate Professor in Applied Economics at the Department of Applied Economics at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.



 
Juan Luis Eugenio
 
BA in Economics and Business (University of Las Palmas, 1997). He also studied at York University (MSc in Economics, 2002), where he subsequently worked as a Lecturer Assistant. He has also been a Research Fellow at Nottingham University and worked for the World Bank. At present he is a Lecturer at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria where he has recently completed his PhD thesis (2009).



 
Pilar Socorro
 
BA in Economics, Lecturer at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. She also studied at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, where she completed an MSc in Economics in 2001 and a PhD in Economics in 2004. Her areas of interest are Information Theory and Microeconomics, and she currently works on projects related to Institutional Design and Game Theory.

Anna Matas
 
ANNA MATAS
BA in Economics and Business (Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, 1982), MSc in Transport Economics (University of Leeds, 1985), and PhD in Economics (Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, 1990). At present she is a Professor in Applied Economics at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, where she teaches Transport Economics in the Master in Applied Economics. Prof. Matas has participated in several research projects and government contracts in the field of Transport Economics.

JOSÉ L. RAYMOND
Professor of Economics at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. His research interests are mainly focused on Applied Econometrics. He is the author of several articles about the Spanish economy and several quantitative aspects of Transport Economics.

Mar Glez. Savignat
 

Associate Professor at the Department of Economy Theory of the University of Vigo, MSc in Transport Economics at Universidad Carlos III of Madrid. She completed her research training at the University of Liverpool and the Institute for Transport Studies of the University of Leeds. She has been an active researcher in several projects related to the evaluation of transport investments, travel demand forecasting models and urban transport. Her work has been published in different books, book chapters and national and international journals such as the Journal of Transport Economics and Policy or Transport Reviews, among others.

PhD in Quantitative Methods (2008), at the Quantitative Methods and Economic History Department of the University Pablo de Olavide, Seville. His main research areas are Individual Behaviour, Choice and Public Goods, as well as Externalities Assessment Models. GUSTAVO NOMBELA
BA in Economics (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, 1991), MSc in Economics and Finance (CEMFI, 1993) and PhD in Economics (London School of Economics, 1998). He has worked for the World Bank (2001) and for the Spanish Government (Oficina Económica del Presidente del Gobierno, 2004-2007). He has been Director of the Economics of Infrastructure Chair at FEDEA (Fundación de Estudios de Economía Aplicada). He currently works for Fundación Alternativas.
